Senior Program Manager

Job Description:
The Senior Program Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a product release from inception/concept through general availability according to Tele-Tracking’s product lifecycle processes. The Senior Program Manager is also responsible for timely, clear communication of status and issues from project team to and executive management, identifying risks and mitigation plans. In addition the Senior Program Manager leads cross-functional teams in support of product lifecycle activities and drives ongoing development/refinement of Product Lifecycle processes and related supporting documentation including Product Requirements Documents, program status templates, etc.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that product releases and other programs are planned, managed and tracked according to Tele-Tracking’s product lifecycle processes.
- Ensure timely and successful completion of all program deliverables.
- Create and maintain program plans, schedules and timelines for all product releases
- Coordinate involvement of all departments within Tele-Tracking in the planning and execution of their roles in the project lifecycle
- Regularly communicate program status, readiness, issues and risks across functional organizations and to senior management
- Monitor, escalate and drive the resolution of project roadblocks and bottlenecks.
- Ensure adequate internal/external stakeholder participation, review and acceptance of project artifacts.
- Develop and maintain MS Project Plans for all projects
- Recommend and facilitate process improvements for TeleTracking’s core product lifecycle processes
- Perform other duties as necessary or as assigned by the VP, Development or designee
Education Required:
- BS/BA in business, operations management, engineering, computer science
Experience Required:
- 7+ years experience in program management and/or project management for commercial software products.
- Healthcare software domain experience a plus
Proficiencies Required:
- Ability to manage multiple projects, set and meet deadlines, with minimal supervision.
- Excellent team facilitation skills, including the ability to coordinate and direct cross-functional teams
- Ability to drive consensus across groups
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Project
- Experience with defect management and/or requirements management tools
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required:
- Current PMP Certification highly desirable
Physical Requirements:
- Normal office conditions
- Based in Pittsburgh office
- Able to travel as necessary (limited travel expected)
