Avanti Patient Flow Consultant

Reports To: DIRECTOR, AVANTI PATIENT FLOW SERVICES

Location: Western United States

General Purpose of Job: The Avanti Patient Flow Consultant assesses, analyzes, and develops a best-practice recommendation designed to help hospitals improve patient flow. For existing clients, the recommendation will be customized and designed to assure that the hospital client attains maximum benefits from their capacity management software solution. Prospective clients will be provided a recommendation that illustrates the opportunity process redesign and capacity management software affords in improving patient flow.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assessment of existing hospital clients’ use of TeleTracking Capacity Management Suite (CMS).
  • Analyzes current flow and areas of opportunity. Assists the client with establishment of baseline data and system for ongoing monitor of patient flow results.
  • Develops a customized best-practice recommendation that incorporates process-flow redesign and best supports the functionality of CMS and is consistent with Company strategy, mission, vision and values.
  • Uses landslide as a communication tool and attaches recommendations to the hospital account.
  • Effectively manages the assigned consulting engagement within the allotted time through effective time-management and collaboration with the Avanti Director and client contacts. Collaborates with the implementation team as needed for software functionality clarification.
  • Supports existing relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. i.e. Luminary accounts, Sodexho, HCA, CHW .
  • Communicates with the Avanti Director on lead generation activity.
  • Provides and maintains accurate contact information of clients and potential clients using landslide as a communication tool.
  • Conducts training sessions for sales-team as assigned.
  • Participates in educational presentations at client user-groups and regional conferences as assigned.
  • Stays abreast of current healthcare industry developments specifically related to capacity and patient flow challenges.

Edcuation:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, nursing, or related area.
  • Current RN licensure required.

Experience:

  • Two or more years of hospital management experience with concentration in hospital operations and hospital admissions (Patient Access or logistics area).
  • Two or more years of direct patient care experience preferred
  • Project management experience

Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications
  • Strong presentation (oral & written) skills
  • Strong grasp of capacity management and patient flow issues specific to the support service roles
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Positive approach to problem-solving

Physical Requirements:

  • General office conditions.
  • Frequent travel of approximately 75% or more..
