Technical Sales Consultant

General Purpose of Job: Reporting to the Director of Implementation, the Technical Consultant, Sales Support provides technical support for TeleTracking Technologies, Inc. sales representatives and institutional sales representatives, which includes Regional Vice Presidents, Sales Executives (SE), Client Managers (CM), Regional Coordinators (RC), Inside Sales Coordinators (ISC), the VP of Sales and the VP of Business Development and other sales positions that may be created.  The Technical Consultant, Sales Support works with customers to gather their technical requirements and represents TeleTracking's Capacity Management technologies to the customer’s technical team. As a subject matter expert, the Consultant takes a consultative approach to support sales, trains customers and mentors peers in all technical aspects of the Capacity Management Suite.

 

The Technical Consultant, Sales Support uses detailed technical knowledge about the TeleTracking products, technologies, and solutions, as well as the skills to develop solutions to meet customer requirements. This specialist translates technical requirements into customer solutions, solves technical problems, describes Capacity Management strategy and solutions, documents solution scope and communicates the TeleTracking Technologies Implementation Management methodology.

 

This position provides support on select, predetermined accounts via technical presentations, documentation, RFP/RFI support, answers customer technical questions, and performs similar tasks.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides technical advice to the sales force to resolve product or service requests regarding engineering, technical or training issues.
  • Insures scope checklist for sales professionals has been completed and is accurate
  • Coordinates with product management, implementation management and development to respond to and create solution definitions
  • Provides documentation of technical sales cycle, arrange warm hand-over of customer requirements to Implementation Management  to ensure customer’s expectations and TeleTracking’s deliverables are consistent
  • Insures that scope is properly framed and properly communicated to the customer, including:
    • Services and deliverables
    • Customer responsibilities, including resource commitments
    • Assumptions and constraints
    • Project critical success factors
    • Out of scope items
  • Develops high-level project schedules to achieve goals and objectives of TeleTracking and customer
  • Communicates best practices
  • Maintains pre sales relationship with clients until all technical issues are resolved
  • Participates in the development and documentation of implementation components, including:
    • Solution scope,
    • High-level project schedule,
    • client pre installation prerequisites
    • training requirements based upon customer size and complexity
  • Mentoring less experienced Technical Sales Support Consultant’s
  • Functions as a member of the Implementation Team and contributes to building a positive environment by cooperation and consultation within the team
  • Participates in regular Implementation team meetings as scheduled

Job Requirements/Education, Experience and Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent business or technical education required

Experience

  • At least one year supporting TeleTracking Technologies Capacity Management Suite with demonstrated knowledge of TeleTracking practices and procedures, including tools, contacts and resources.
  • 3+ years of client facing project experience

Skills

  • Superior Technical Skills and experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare/hospital internal organization preferred
  • Understanding of the enterprise software sales process
  • Understanding and ability to communicate and manage the methodology for successful Capacity Management Suite implementation and deployment

Physical Requirements: Normal office conditions; frequent travel (40%) on short notice
