BAYLOR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM SELECTS TELETRACKING AS PATIENT FLOW PROVIDER
Enterprise-wide patient flow platform, market leadership critical factors
PITTSBURGH, PA, Dec. 16, 2009 _____ -- TeleTracking Technologies today announced a multi-year agreement with Dallas-based Baylor Health Care System to license its Capacity Management Suite™ powered by TeleTracking XT™ across the 14-hospital system. The agreement also includes a consulting engagement with TeleTracking’s patient flow process redesign division, Avanti Patient Flow Services.
After a comprehensive evaluation process, the Baylor system chose TeleTracking’s patient flow solutions.
Moving patients efficiently through the healthcare delivery process involves multiple hospital constituents and presents a major communication challenge. The patient flow re-design initiatives that Baylor will implement are based on time-tested principles successfully used at hundreds of TeleTracking hospital clients throughout the U.S., according to Lisa Romano, RN, MSN and CNO of TeleTracking. “The approach being adopted by Baylor Health Care System will lead to efficient and time effective decisions for patient placement.
Complex, multi-facility healthcare enterprises want enterprise visibility and communication to support functions such as the transfer requests of their referral providers, who demand their patients get the timely, specialized care they need.” Ms. Romano is also Managing Director of their Avanti Patient Flow Services division.
