Bed Management Overview

The integration of BedTracking® and PreAdmitTracking® with the electronic bedboard® allows Environmental Services, Admissions and Patient Placement staff to know exactly which beds are occupied, available, or in progress of being cleaned, as well as patient status. Upon patient discharge, a quick & easy interactive voice response (IVR) telephone request automatically pages an environmental services staff member to begin the cleaning process.

With the real-time status of every bed, combined with real-time status of every patient easily viewable on the electronic bedboard®, "idle" dirty beds are a thing of the past. This also allows Nursing, Admissions and Emergency Departments (ED) to more efficiently plan, manage and expedite patient flow, as well as help project clinical resource requirements necessary to provide proper patient care.
